Started in 2009, the mission of the Department is to impart high quality under-graduate education and carry out research in various disciplines of Civil Engineering. It currently runs academic programs leading to the award of B.Tech. and M.Tech. The Department has all laboratories fully equipped with state-of-the-art facilities to support the research and teaching activities. Important technical software related to Civil Engineering is available to enhance the quality of learning. Currently, faculty members in the department possessing Masters and Ph.D degrees.
The B.Tech. programme offered by the Department of Civil Engineering encompasses many areas, such as Solid mechanics, Concrete Technology, Geo-Technical Engineering, Structural Analysis, Transportation Engineering, Design of Steel structures, Irrigation engineering and Estimation & Costing.
The department has been offering M.Tech. Course in Highway Engineering & Structural Engineering since 2013. The course delivery is through digital lectures, classes, field visits, project works and dissertation component.
Civil Engineering is deals with design, construction and maintenance of buildings, dams, roads, bridges, flyovers, canals, airports, railway and metro tracks, tunnels, sewerage system, pipelines, industrial buildings etc.

Civil Engineering is in demand these days as the construction, infrastructure development projects like road construction, building construction, Bullet train tracks, Railway tracks, Tunnel construction, Smart city development etc.
In B.Tech Civil Engineering we offer the six months industrial training for the students in which students learn about the various methods, techniques of industry working and get the practical exposure.
